Network Connection
Solar photovoltaic installations for connection to networks are aimed at the sale of the electricity produced. They are analysed from a business point of view. Since sale of the electricity is guaranteed, once the initial investment has been amortised the client will continue to sell the electrical production during the entire useful life of the facility.
Isolated
Isolated solar photovoltaic installations are designed for places where access to public power networks is not available. They require a battery to store energy for use during hours of darkness or poor light. These facilities are often employed to provide for domestic requirements. Small systems can cover basic needs (lighting, and in some cases radio and television), and larger systems can also feed a water pump, cordless telephone, refrigerator, electric tools (a drill, sewing machine, etc).
